If you walked into a New York City McDonald’s when the adult Happy Meal dropped in early October, you could purchase one for just $12.95.

The kitschy toys that accompany the meals sparked a social media frenzy when sellers on resale sites began asking for thousands of dollars for each. One reseller originally listed the McDonald’s Happy Meal toy price for three figurines at $300,000 on eBay, and now is selling happy meal toys on a second listing at over $10,000 at the time of writing this. While McDonald’s Happy Meal toys have always been popular, the prices for these collectibles might be the highest we’ve seen yet.

Perhaps we can attribute the hefty price tag to how limited edition the toys are, or because they were created in collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market, a well-known streetwear brand. Whatever the case may be, it’s clear these are set to be some of McDonald’s most sought-after Happy Meal toys in decades.

Where to find the new toys

Though this promotion was supposed to run through the end of October, it has completely sold out in most locations. If you’re open to paying the McDonald’s Happy Meal toy price for one of these limited edition figurines, your best bet is to snag one on a resale site such as eBay. However, expect to pay a considerable amount for it—they’re already a collector’s favorite for their vintage look that’s reminiscent of decades past.

Keep in mind that if you do decide to buy a toy, you might not necessarily know which figurine you’re getting, as they come in opaque branded packaging. Plus, because these meals were only available for purchase at McDonald’s in the United States, they’re even harder to get your hands on if you’re an international shopper. If you want a taste of McDonald’s nostalgia but don’t want to pay thousands for an adult Happy Meal Toy, you’re in luck. Consider looking into the Happy Meal version of ’90s favorite Furby, Power Rangers figurines from the ’90s, or even the fan-favorite Ty’s Teenie Beanie Boos from the 2000s.
