3 Costco Food Items Hitting Shelves in 2025 That Will Become Your New Favorites
For Costco aficionados, there’s little better than flashing your membership card at the door and pushing that oversized cart through the cavernous warehouse. You know you’ll see old friends, like the celebrated $4.99 rotisserie chicken and your favorite Kirkland products, and you’ll probably even get offered a snack—er, sample. But Costco members also know there’s the potential for a serious adrenaline rush. When you find a newly introduced Costco item that becomes your new favorite, it’s hard not to be positively giddy. And lucky for you, Costco’s brand-new additions for 2025 may make you feel just that.

What new Costco items are becoming fan favorites?
Despite the ginormous size of its warehouse stores, Costco is actually very selective when it comes to what it sells. According to its website, Costco sells only about 4,000 different products, whereas your average grocery store typically stocks a whopping 30,000 different items. Translation: When Costco adds something to its roster, it really believes in it.
Meet the three Costco newbies that you just may fall in love with:
Tiramisu cheesecake
It’s hard to resist Costco’s bakery, especially when it comes to the delectable house-brand desserts. One of shoppers’ longtime favorites is the wildly popular Kirkland Signature 12-inch Cheesecake, and now Costco is whipping fans into a frenzy with a tiramisu version, a 12-inch, 4.5-pound coffee-inspired riff on the original plain cake.
According to Reddit, the first sightings of Costco’s tiramisu cheesecake started in early February. While the dessert, which costs $23.99, is rolling out nationally, not all shoppers have been able to find it in their local store yet. And the stores in which it’s already available? Well, those Costcos are having trouble keeping it in stock.
“I nabbed a tiramisu cheesecake at Costco yesterday and was not sure what to expect,” writes Redditor Hike_in_the_snow, who found one in Pennsylvania. “What I got, though, is all the right parts of an espresso-flavored cheesecake with fluffy mascarpone cheese, which scratches all of my dreams of cheesecake and tiramisu at once. Strongly suggest grabbing one before they move on to their next flavor.”
Cotton Candy Kit Kats
For several years, Kit Kat has been dabbling in collabs, mashing up the chocolate-covered wafer treat with the likes of churros, pink lemonade, raspberry creme and more. But now it’s venturing into uncharted territory by getting into cahoots with cotton candy. The Cotton Candy Kit Kat is exclusive to Costco and available only as part of the store’s Kit Kat variety pack, which also includes chocolate and vanilla. Each variety pack, which retails for $16.99, comes with 100 snack-size pieces, so figure approximately one-third (or roughly 33) of those will be the cotton candy flavor.
Thoughts on the Cotton Candy Kit Kat are mixed on Reddit, with the very idea of spun sugar contaminating Kit Kats upsetting some chocolate purists. But if you keep an open mind—or have a houseful of kids who love anything cotton candy–flavored—you just might be pleasantly surprised. “Call me gross, but I’ve loved every new flavor except vanilla—it just tastes like white chocolate to me,” says Redditor Rich_Disaster5202.
A shopper in Washington State was the first to post about finding these Kit Kats at a local Costco in early February. It’s unclear how long it will take to hit all stores nationwide, but expect this to remain a limited-edition flavor, meaning once it’s gone from shelves, it’s really gone.
Slice
We love a good comeback story, and Slice—which originally started out as a lemon-lime soda competitor to Sprite in the ’80s—is back, baby. Well, at least in select Costco locations. Now, though, Slice isn’t merely a Sprite knockoff. It’s being marketed as a “healthy” soda akin to Poppi and Olipop. For Slice’s healthy era, it’s available in a variety of flavors, including orange, lemon-lime, classic cola and grapefruit spritz.
According to a Costco subreddit, an eight-pack of Slice at Costco retails for $12.99 (so $1.62 per can), and the pack features four cans each of the orange and lemon-lime flavors. It makes sense that Costco is one of the few retailers initially carrying Slice. The brand was purchased by Suja Life, the makers of Suja juices, which the warehouse club has long carried.
So how is it? “Orange was OK, felt it was rather bland,” says Reddit user Consister_Dark1550. “Lemon lime, this was actually pretty good. Very refreshing. Wish they would just do the 8 pack of this.” Your best bet? Convince your friends and family members that the other flavors are better, then buy in bulk and squirrel away all the lemon-lime cans for yourself. Hey, all’s fair in love and libations!
What else is happening at Costco in 2025?
We already know the Costco food court is getting a beverage overhaul, with Coke products replacing Pepsi. But the other big news has to do with Costco’s gas stations. Yes, everyone loves cheap gas, but not everyone loves Costco’s limited hours to get said cheap gas. Well, the Costco gods have heard these complaints, and the stores’ stations now boast extended hours. You can find some price relief at the pump starting at 6 a.m., seven days a week. Fuel stations will remain open until 10 p.m., Monday through Friday; until 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays; and until 7:30 p.m. on Sundays. Just be aware that those hours may vary in California and Hawaii.
