What is Mountain Dew VooDew?

Beginning in 2019, PepsiCo, the maker of Mountain Dew, has released a new, limited-time VooDew flavor every September. Here’s where things get even more fun for curious ghosts and ghouls: Soda drinkers have until Halloween to try and guess what the mystery flavor is.

When the spookiest day of the year rolls around, Mountain Dew reveals the flavor. (Last year was an exception, with Mountain Dew announcing the flavor early.) Past flavors were inspired by some of the most popular Halloween candies: Cherry Airheads, Sour Patch Kids, Starburst, Skittles and Candy Corn.

This year will mark the sixth Mountain Dew VooDew mystery flavor. It comes in both regular (aka sugary enough to send you to the dentist) and zero-sugar versions, both of which are bursting with an unknown flavor that’s got the internet talking.
